A Unique Bed & Breakfast for Model Railroaders

The HO scale layout at The Cranberry Bed & Breakfast will re-create the look and feel of the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad as at Danbury Connecticut in the 1950's.

As shown below in the layout diagram, the model railroad focuses on the 3 approaches into the Danbury division yard. Size: 36' x 70'

Primary supplier of modeling materials for The Cranberry

Traffic to/from Pittsfield, MA travels through Beaver Brook Traffic to/from Brewster, NY travels through Lake Ave Traffic to/from South Norwalk/NYC travels through Bethel

Since the overall distances modeled fall relatively close to the space allowed in HO scale, very little selective compression is needed.

The room itself features 10' sidewalls with a clearspan vaulted ceiling peaking at 13.5 feet. This allows for the 'pullman' valences along each sidewall and the authentic hanging wig- wag.
